Pesto Pinwheels
Here's a recipe for some pesto-y cheesy snacks that are good for when your D&D party is coming over and you need something quick and tasty.
Effort Rating: 1.5/5
Ingredients:
- 1 White Flour Tortilla
- Pesto
- Goat Cheese
- Sun Dried Tomatoes
Required Tools
- A Knife (pref. a paring knife) for cutting up the tortilla (and bigger sun dried tomatoes)
- A Cutting Board/other food staging area
- A plate for the finished pinwheels
Prep
- Slice up any big sun dried tomatoes into small chunks if needed.
Instructions
Assemble the Pinwheels
- Generously spread goat cheese over the whole tortilla
- Spread Pesto in a thin-ish layer over the cheese layer
- Sprinkle your sun dried tomato chunks over the tortilla
- Roll up the tortilla, cigar style
- Slice the rolled up tortilla into 1.5ish inch slices and put them onto a plate
- If you've got time, chill the pinwheels in the fridge for added stability.
Tweaks
You could probably add whatever kinda fillings you want, but I like this flavour profile. I think I adapted this from a recipe that was using cream cheese and bell peppers instead.
